Bassetts used pedal power to raise in excess of £6,000 for the company's nominated charity - Macmillan Cancer Support NI.

The Bassetts Tour de Foyle, which was sponsored by Worcester, took place at the end of August, with nearly 100 cyclists completing the tough 50-mile route.  The event was structured to suit all cycling abilities and many customers and friends new to cycling successfully completed the event alongside some more seasoned cyclists.

The route started and ended at the company's L'Derry branch with the outward journey of 28 miles traveling through the city to the picturesque ferry crossing at Magilligan where the 97 string group sailed across Lough Foyle to Greencastle on the Inishown Peninsula.  The return leg followed the River Foyle up along the Donegal coastline and back into the Maiden City for a well-deserved lunch back at Bassetts.
